How is it possible for one food item – in particular, nut oils – to virtually do what so many drugs portend to do? How can nuts do so much for so little without so much as a side effect other than, oh, say, a little more healthfulness without pharmaceuticals. It would be great if I could tell you you’d also lose weight.
But I can’t, so read this, take the message back to your home, don’t overindulge in nuts. As this article concludes, it’s all about the calories:

Now, why do I think this is valuable enough to share on FB?
Because too long now, fitness pros have been touting the many ways to lose weight by simply changing the composition of your diet, from high carbs to low fat, or high protein and low carbs, of whatever is in vogue. As this study noted, a diet succeeds in altering blood levels of fats and sugars but the fact that all participants lost up to 8% of their weight on the 3 diets tested. No differences were noted.
Once again, it’s all about calories in vs calories out.
Someday you will believe that too…….
